Amélie Ducommun: Sensitive Water Mapping

15 March - 29 April 2017

Opening Thursday, March 16, 6-9pm, in the artist's presence
Cartography as a sensory memory of place.
Amélie's works are the fruit of research into waterways and speak of the imprint of two elements: water and stone. She explores the colorful, muted tones created by the rustle of air on water. Amélie decided to penetrate the water's surface, to dive in, to imagine the depths of these aquatic movements and their sounds. Many of Amélie's works can be found in collections, museums and institutions (Casa de Velazquez, Fondation Miro, New York, London, etc.) A catalog has been published to coincide with the exhibition.
