Francisco sepulveda

“Exuberant, mysterious and magical all at once, Sepùlveda's polymorphous work abounds in references to his South American roots and to the different cultures to which he was exposed during his many, incessant travels. Critics speak of the Sepùlveda Galaxy, the palette of the gods, and compare him to a joyful ogre with a thunderous laugh, a voracious, insatiable giant who devours universes, feasting on them, the better to shape only one: his own, unique, dazzling, fascinating one.”

Micheline Vorbe - Images between dream and reality

“For years now, I've been following the work of Francisco Sepúlveda, an artist of Chilean origin who, although he lives in Switzerland, has lost none of his Latin American roots or his sense of humor. In his canvases, images emerge as if from the subtle threshold between dream and reality. Shades of color and a surreal atmosphere help him to compose a work criss-crossed with a highly significant dreamlike charge. Sepúlveda recreates his own universe in a deliberately sober space, articulated from a great economy of plastic means, where his figures acquire an unequivocal presence.”
