Dominique Jousseaume French, b. 1950

Dominique Jousseaume was born in Paris in 1950.

After secondary school, he hesitated between architecture and the Beaux-Arts, finally choosing an atypical path more in line with his taste for freedom and independence.

He explored the many facets of art in various studios, before trying his hand at set design for theater, film and ballet.

He created several sculptures for public commissions, including :

the caryatids for the J.F. Crahay collection in Bagnols in 1977,
the high reliefs for the Anne Franck school in Montreuil, and the Bétrémieux and Jean Moulin schools in Rosny-sous-Bois in 1978,
the Sopha Euro Tubes Services sculpture in Paris in 1992.
Galerie des Tuiliers organized a solo show for him in 2012, entitled “Fouilles Clandestines”.
